BERLIN- The Coastal Association of Realtors (CAR) recently held their first charity golf tournament at the Ocean City Golf Club-Seaside Course with over $12,000 raised for the association’s foundation.
A total of 76 golfers participated in the CAR’s first-ever charity golf tournament and raised over $12,000 for the foundation. The CAR Foundation is a fund held by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore and the money raised during the tournament will be accessible to members of the CAR to support their chosen local organizations.
For the record, the overall first-place honors went to the team including Brandon Johnson, Andrew Nixon, Tim Velasco and Eli Williamson. Winning the first flight were Mike Ciorrocco, Mitch Marinner, Devan Scott and Chris Short. Winning the second flight were Chris Bunting, Shawn Bunting, Tim Dozier and Tom Hudson. Winners of the third flight included Rob Carroll, Ken Meekins, Rob Moudey and Reggie Pryzbilski.
The honor of having the highest score went to Tim Halliger, Larissa Luck, Grace Masten and Vonny Pilchard. Andrew Nixon won the closest-to-the-pin award and Hunter Aananson won the straightest drive competition. Gayle Quillen had the women’s longest drive, while Mike Ciorrocco had the men’s longest drive. Prior and during the tournament, CAR members sold tickets for a basket of cheer won by Sharyn O’Hare.
